Descriptif :
Dans la lignée du Metalcore aux côtés de Chimaira, Lamb of God ou bien Killswitch Engage, God Forbid se forme dans le New-Jersey en 1996 sous l'impulsion du guitariste Dallas Coyle (ex-Faint 13) et du batteur Corey Pierce.
Ils sont rejoints ensuite par Byron Davis au chant, John Outcalt à la basse, et finalement par Doc Coyle à la guitare, frère de Dallas.
Le combo sort un premier album en 1999, Reject the Sickness, et entame tournées sur tournées qui, en plus de les faire connaître, leur permettront d'obtenir une méchante réputation en live.
Trois ans plus tard le quintet sort Determination et l'EP Out of Misery qui ne feront que renforcer sa position de groupe incontournable de la nouvelle scène américaine.
C'est seulement avec la sortie de Gone Forever (2004) qu'on verra le groupe sortir des USA.
Le groupe part alors en Europe avec Slipknot, Chimaira et tenez-vous bien Fear Factory en vue de faire la promo de leur troisième album.
A peine un an plus tard sortira "IV : Constitution of Treason".
Dès la première écoute cet album est une bombe et la claque est dantesque....Vous m'en direz des nouvelles mais en ce qui me concerne je suis conquis !!!
